This handheld unit is ideal for go anywhere convenience. It is a fully waterproof (to US Coast Guard standards JIS4 and CFR46), portable two-way radio that is compact and lightweight and fits easily into the palm of your hand. You are able to switch between 1 watt output, to preserve the life of the battery and 5 watt output, which provides maximum transmission power. Choose between either the standard Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery or six AA batteries as an alternative option (alkaline battery pack included). The reversible large backlit LCD display allows for viewing in front of the unit, or while it is attached to your belt, in anyconditions. Also included: cigarette lighter lead, flexible rubber antenna. Optional speaker/microphone also available. Optional AC adaptor available (MAA956).
